Lusail University announced the opening of applications for tuition discounts for the spring of 2021, pointing out that registration continues until February 11, to benefit from the list of discounts offered by the university for specific categories.

Lusail University will provide grants and special facilities to citizens and residents who hold a high school diploma, who excel, invention owners, people with special needs, and fraternities. % In the first three years, they are exempted from tuition fees for the fourth year.

The university also offers a 40% discount on the credit hours fees for students who have obtained a 95% average in the Qatari General Secondary Certificate, and a 50% discount for students who excel at the national representative level in sports, art and science, or who have a patent or its equivalent, provided that they are presented to a committee It also provides a discount of 30% of the credit hours fees for outstanding students who have obtained an average of between 90% and 94% in the Qatari General Secondary Certificate.

The university also grants a discount on tuition fees for brothers admitted to Lusail University, where the second brother receives a 10% discount, the third brother receives a 20% discount, and the fourth brother, and above, receives a 30% discount, and the discount rate remains in effect regardless Regardless of the graduation or dismissal of any of them from the university, and a discount rate of up to 50% for university employees and their children.

Lusail University had accepted 833 male and female students out of more than 3,000 students who applied to join the university’s programs, with 27 percent of the applicants. And economics are at the forefront of colleges, with 49 percent of the accepted students, followed by the College of Law with 32 percent, and then the College of Education and Arts with 19 percent.

Academic Programs

Lusail University offers six academic programs distributed among three faculties: “Bachelor’s Program in Marketing and Distribution Techniques, Bachelor’s in Teaching English, and Bachelor in French Studies”, in addition to two “Bachelor’s Programs in Public Law and Private Law” in partnership with Hassan II University in Morocco. It also offers the “Business Administration” program in partnership with the University of Jordan, which will be taught by a group of Lusail University faculty members, who come from 11 different countries, and hold the highest degrees from prestigious universities.

The university also announced the academic calendar for the academic year 2020-2021, stressing that the last day of study for the fall and spring semesters will be in mid-August, and that studies for the summer semester will begin in mid-July 2021.

Admission requirements

The university announced the requirements for admission to Lusail University, which are: that the applicant must have obtained 65% of the general secondary certificate or the baccalaureate or its equivalent, or that he must have completed a foundation year after the eleventh grade or IGCSE or O-level or its equivalent, provided that he obtained An average of 65% in at least five subjects, including two majors. (And after obtaining the equivalency from the Certificate Equivalency Department in the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in the State of Qatar).

Those enrolled in the programs offered in the English language may obtain a score of (5) in the IELTS exam or its equivalent in the TOEFL exam. Anyone who has obtained a grade (C) in three subjects, including two subjects in the IB, CIMP or A-level test, is exempted from the English language tests.

Students who have obtained an IB, CIMP or A-level certificate, provided they have completed at least five subjects, two of which are in the field of specialization with a grade of (C) in the second year of Lusail University programs except for the French language program, and their acceptance is from the academic year 2021-2022. .
