Withdrawal from a Course
-
Students can drop their courses and/or add new courses during the add/drop period set in the university’s academic calendar. Dropped courses during that period will not be included in the student’s academic record.
-
Students are allowed to withdraw from their courses after the end of the add/drop period until the fifth week of the semester (Fall and Spring Semesters), provided that the minimum number of credit hours stipulated in the academic load policy is adhered to. In this case, the course is recorded in the student’s academic record with a grade of “W”. The course will not be counted into the number of completed hours required for graduation.
Withdrawal from the Semester
-
Students must submit a withdrawal request before the semester begins, provided that there is a compelling reason that the competent authority deems appropriate.
-
Students are not allowed to withdraw from their first semester of enrollment.
-
The withdrawal period is not counted within the time required to complete the graduation requirements.
-
Students are allowed to withdraw from the semester after the add/drop period until the seventh week of the Fall and Spring semesters. Students that withdraw from their courses after the add/drop period shall receive a grade of “W” on their academic records. In addition, the courses will not be counted in the graduation requirements.
-
Students are not allowed to withdraw from the university for more than four semesters, and in the event of an emergency health condition, students can submit a request to the appropriate committee for consideration.
-
All students must abide by all deadlines set in the academic calendar.
