Students are placed on the first academic probation if their cumulative GPA falls below 2.00 by the end of the semester (except for the Summer Semester). The Registration Department decides on an appropriate means to notify the student (probation 1).

If a student (on probation 1) is unable to raise his/her GPA to 2.00 by the end of the following semester (except for the summer semester), he/she will be placed on a second academic probation (probation 2).

If a student (on probation 2) is unable to raise his/her GPA to 2.00 by the end of the following semester (except for the summer semester), he/she will be dismissed from Lusail University.
