A student can withdraw from the courses for which s/he registers and add new courses during the add-and-drop period set in the university’s academic calendar. Dropped courses during that period are not recorded in the student academic record.
A student is allowed to withdraw from a course after the end of the add-and-drop period until the fifth week (Fall and Spring Semesters), provided that the minimum number of credit hours stipulated in the academic load policy is adhered to. In this case, the course is recorded in the student’s transcript with a grade of “W”. This course is not calculated into the number of hours s/he studied in terms of pass, fail and graduation requirements.
