





In a distinguished academic achievement, the College of Information Technology at Lusail University organized on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, the first event of its kind dedicated to discussing graduation projects and presenting scientific posters, with the participation of students from the first graduating cohort. The event was held under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Nizam Al-Hindi, and attended by the Vice President, university deputies, college deans, as well as a number of faculty members, students, and representatives from various public and private industrial sectors and local universities.
The event took place from 10:00 to 12:00 AM, during which students presented their projects before evaluation committees and shared their ideas and research and applied outcomes in an interactive academic environment.
The event witnessed the participation of 28 graduating students, whose projects covered modern and advanced fields, particularly artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, reflecting students’ interest in emerging technologies and their ability to address real-world challenges in areas of growing global demand.
The event also featured the presence of external examiners from various companies and institutions, reflecting the university’s commitment to linking academic outcomes with the labor market and enhancing evaluation quality through specialized professional expertise. Attendees had the opportunity to explore students’ ideas and innovations, as teams presented their projects through scientific posters outlining project objectives, methodologies, and key results, in addition to oral presentations and discussions before evaluation committees.
This event represents a significant milestone in the journey of the College of Information Technology, marking the launch of its first graduating cohort and embodying the university’s commitment to delivering high-quality education based on practical application and innovation.
Through this initiative, the college reaffirms its continuous efforts to encourage scientific research, develop students’ presentation and communication skills, and foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, in line with the State of Qatar’s vision of building a knowledge-based economy driven by technology.
