Lusail University Celebrates the Cultures of More Than 30 Countries at the “Cultural Village” in Katara

This evening, Lusail University inaugurated the “Cultural Village” event, held at the northern side of Katara Corniche, in the presence of Dr. Khalid Al-Sulaiti, General Manager of Katara, along with a number of Their Excellencies ambassadors and officials. The guests took part in the opening of the pavilions and toured the cultural activities representing the participating countries.
The “Cultural Village” event is sponsored by the General Foundation for Cultural Village “Katara,” the official sponsor of the event, and Ooredoo as the official telecommunications partner, as part of their support for student initiatives and cultural events that promote community engagement.
The event program featured a diverse range of cultural and artistic performances that reflected the richness of the popular heritage of the participating countries. The performances included traditional arts, folk dances, folkloric shows, and cultural fashion displays that highlighted the visual identity and heritage of each country. The program also included traditional musical performances from several countries, including Morocco, Sudan, Togo, Palestine, Egypt, the Sultanate of Oman, and Saudi Arabia, reflecting the cultural diversity and richness of the university’s student body.
The participating countries’ pavilions showcased artistic and handicraft displays, handmade products, traditional dishes, and folk costumes, offering visitors an opportunity to learn about different cultures and interact with students in a festive atmosphere that fostered openness and communication.
For her part, Ms. Talilah Thani Al-Kuwari, Director of Student Life Affairs at Lusail University, expressed her pride in the rich cultural content presented by the students, reflecting their efforts and creativity. She emphasized the university’s strong commitment to events that support cultural identity and enhance interaction among students. She added that the event represents a vibrant space that combines knowledge with cultural experience, contributing to the development of a more aware university community that appreciates the diversity of its students’ backgrounds.
The event concluded with the honoring of the winning pavilions, amid a large turnout of students, faculty members, and visitors, who praised the high level of organization and the rich cultural content presented by Lusail University.
