The role of the Scientific Research and Academic Activities Committee is to encourage research productivity that contributes to knowledge dissemination. The committee responsibilities include:

• Developing a plan to enhance research productivity of faculty members at Lusail University.
• Preparing an annual report on faculty research productivity at the university and submitting it to the University President.
• Developing guidelines related to publishing in predatory or unreliable journals.
• Developing a research papers/publications series (database) for faculty members at Lusail University and publishing it on the website.
• Proposing research topics for the university.
• Creating a virtual community on Blackboard and publishing all documents, including meeting minutes, on the platform.

The role of the Institutional Review Committee is to review, evaluate, and recommend actions related to the use of humans in research to ensure compliance with international and local standards. The committee responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and understanding standards for the use of humans in research.
• Reviewing all Lusail University policies and procedures to ensure compliance with standards.
• Reviewing any research proposals involving human subjects and providing recommendations to the University President.
• Following up on improvement recommendations.
• Assisting in preparing reports required for academic accreditation.
• Creating a Blackboard virtual community and publishing all documents, including meeting minutes.
