Under "Qatar Scholarships".. Qatar Fund for Development Signs Two Agreements to Develop Programs and Attract Students from Developing Countries

The Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) signed two agreements under the "Qatar Scholarships" umbrella with the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies and Lusail University via video conferencing. Mr. Misfer Hamad Al-Shahwani, Deputy Director General of Projects at QFFD, stated that these agreements focus on investing in Qatar's educational infrastructure to achieve international development goals, emphasizing the Fund's keenness on integration with national institutions.

Regarding the agreement with Lusail University, Ms. Fatma Al-Mesleh, Vice President for Student Affairs, noted that the program seeks to provide scholarships to cover tuition costs for several international students from developing countries who are non-residents of Qatar to enroll in one of the undergraduate programs offered by Lusail University. Through this agreement, Lusail University aims to achieve its vision by creating opportunities for cultural diversity and nationality pluralism within the university, facilitating the exchange of expertise and enriching student experiences.

This initiative also reflects Lusail University's belief in its role in spreading knowledge and culture, making education accessible to all groups, and supporting Qatar's vision of prioritizing the education of children and youth in developing countries and extending a helping hand to poor communities. For the Doha Institute, Ms. Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, Executive Director of the Administrative and Financial Sector, emphasized that the agreement supports scientific research and institutional integration, enabling international students to join master's programs for a period of five years, which is a central factor in achieving sustainable development goals through education.
