





Four students from the College of Information Technology achieved a significant milestone by securing fifth place in the CTF – Qatar Robotics and Artificial Intelligence 18 competition, held on February 15, 2026, as part of the 18th edition of the Qatar Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Championship. The event was organized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth, represented by the Qatar Scientific Club, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, and supported by the Social and Sports Activities Support Fund (“DAAM”).
The university team included Mohammed Al-Rashq, Anas Khalifa, Abdulrahman Abu Salem, and Alia Al-Balushi, who successfully demonstrated advanced technical skills, problem-solving, and teamwork under competitive pressure. The team outperformed numerous other teams across regions, placing the university among the leading competitors in cybersecurity.
This achievement reflects the College of Information Technology’s commitment to developing students’ professional skills, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence, and confirms that its students are well-prepared to tackle complex cybersecurity challenges in today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape.
