Lusail University announced the admission of 1,076 male and female students (504 males and 572 females) from 51 different nationalities out of 1,852 new applicants for the Fall 2022 semester, which began on August 21st. The admitted students are distributed across four colleges: the College of Education and Arts with 227 students, the College of Commerce and Business with 339, the College of Law with 230, and the College of Information Technology with 280 students.
Lusail University is the first private national university in the State of Qatar. Its mission is to provide academic programs that contribute to preparing trained and qualified human cadres to keep pace with the local and international labor market, and to provide a stimulating environment for scientific research and knowledge production. The university offers 15 academic programs in various disciplines through its four colleges in three languages: Arabic, English, and French. These programs include: B.Ed. in Teaching English (English), B.A. in Political Science (Arabic), B.Ed. in Counseling and Mental Health (Arabic), Bachelor of Law from Sorbonne University (French), B.B.A. in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Arabic), B.B.A. in Insurance and Risk Management (Arabic), B.B.A. in Logistics Resource Management in partnership with Shippensburg University (English), B.B.A. in Human Resources (Arabic), B.B.A. in Marketing (Arabic), B.B.A. in Management (Arabic), B.B.A. in Supply Chain Management (Arabic), B.S. in Cybersecurity (English), B.S. in Artificial Intelligence (English), and B.S. in Video Game Design and Development (English).
The introduction of new programs reflects Lusail University's continuous growth and its interest in developing programs that meet the needs of the community in Qatar and the Gulf region. Lusail University provides separate buildings for male and female students and offers specialized majors that meet labor market needs. The university opens doors of hope for high school graduates with a percentage of 65% to enroll directly in university studies, providing important educational opportunities for those who wish to learn and stay in Qatar.
