The College of Law at Lusail University received the Excellence in Teaching Award in the State of Qatar for the year 2022 during a ceremony held on the sidelines of the seventh edition of the Qatar Business Law Forum. The forum was organized by LexisNexis, one of the largest legal database institutions in the world. The event was organized in strategic partnership with the Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Qatar Bar Association, and the Qatar International Center for Conciliation and Arbitration.
The recognition came after an evaluation by the specialized team at LexisNexis. The College of Law at Lusail University is one of the largest colleges in the university, offering legal courses in three languages: Arabic, English, and French. Its students represent more than 40 different nationalities. The college also boasts a faculty and academic body from various nationalities with qualifications and expertise from the most prestigious universities in the world. Notably, it is the only college in Qatar that offers a Bachelor of Law in French in partnership with the prestigious University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
Professor Dr. Moulay Hicham Idrissi, Dean of the College of Law, stated that after two years of establishment and hard work, the college received the Excellence in Teaching Award. He emphasized that while this award places the college among the ranks of ancient and prestigious universities in just two years, it also carries the responsibility of serious perseverance and the continuity of excellence. He added that the college remains committed to graduating distinguished legal professionals capable of innovation in the field of legal sciences and developing legislative competencies, capabilities, and policies within the State of Qatar.
