Lusail University team achieved a distinguished accomplishment by crowning themselves with the title of the University Futsal Championship for male students for the 2024–2025 sports season. The tournament was organized by the Qatar Collegiate Sports Federation (QCSF) in cooperation with Qatar University as the host institution, during the period from March 8 to 19, 2025.
The crowning of Lusail University with the first-place position took place in a celebratory atmosphere, where the championship trophy and gold medals were handed over to the winning Lusail University team. This occurred in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al-Naimi, President of the Qatar Collegiate Sports Federation, Professor Nitham Hindi, President of Lusail University, and Sheikh Khalifa bin Khalid, President of the Qatar School Sports Federation. The President of the Federation honored the winners of special awards in the students' championship, where Mansour Mahamadou Jaya, a student at Lusail University, won the tournament's Top Scorer award.
The championship witnessed strong competition and wide participation from various universities and colleges in Qatar. Mr. Rashid Saeed Adiba, Secretary-General of the Qatar Collegiate Sports Federation, emphasized that the tournament is an important milestone toward continental and international competitions. It provides the winning teams with the opportunity to represent Qatar in the Asian University Futsal Championship, organized by the Asian University Sports Federation (AUSF), and from there to the World Championship, which is held annually at the international level.
