Credit Transfer Policy
A transferred student may equate courses completed successfully at an accredited university or college, according to the following requirements and conditions:
1. Recognized University
Courses must be from a university recognized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Qatar, or officially accredited by the Ministry.
2. Original Transcript
The student must provide the original transcript stamped by the university.
3. Course Syllabus
The student must provide the course description stamped by the university and must include: course description, credit hours, assessment method, and learning outcomes.
4. Translation Requirement
The transcript must be translated into Arabic or English if it is in another language.
5. Course Content Match
Course content must match the Lusail University course by at least 70%.
6. Minimum Grade
The student must have achieved a minimum grade of “C” or equivalent.
7. Maximum Transfer Hours
The transferred credit hours must not exceed 60 credit hours of the required hours in the study plan.
8. Matching Credit Hours
The credit hours of the transferred course must match the course at Lusail University. Two courses may be combined if their hours are higher to equal one course.
9. TC Code
The code “TC” will appear on the transferred courses in the transcript. These courses are not included in the cumulative GPA calculation, but their credit hours count toward earned credits.
