H.E. Dr. Ali Bin Fetais Al Marri
Obtained his PHD in 1997 in International Law for his thesis “Boundaries in the Arabic Peninsula” from the Sorbonne University of France. He speaks both French and English in addition to his mother tongue Arabic. He is currently the Attorney General of the State of Qatar since 2002 (A minister rank position).
He assumed a number of positions, inter alia, Director of the Legal Department in the Amiri Diwan, Assistant Secretary General of the Qatari Cabinet and a participant of its weekly sessions (1997-1998). Also, he has worked as lecturer in the Qatar University in 1997 teaching International Law.
Dr. Al Marri is a member of a number of local and International Committees. He was a member of the committee codifying the Permeant Constitution of the State of Qatar, chaired the committee examining and revising International Contracts which the State of Qatar is a party, supervising them and follow up of the Arbitration cases, whether local or International. He was also a member in the Qatari Commission regarding the demarcation of Boarders between the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He was also a member of the Franco Qatari commission for military cooperation, the Qatari American Commission for Military Cooperation. He also worked as a lawyer representing his country before the ICJ in the case of the regional boundary dispute between Qatar and the Kingdom of Bahrain. He also chaired the committee codifying the draft law establishing the Public Prosecution of the State of Qatar and establishing its competence. And he chaired the committee preparing the draft law to establish the Supreme Judicial Council and the Independence of the Judiciary.
He also assumed a number of International designations: UN Special Advocate for Asset Recovery in 2012, a work which he continued until appointed a Special Advocate for the Prevention of Corruption in 2014. He is also a member of the UN International Law Commission since 2001, reelected three consecutive times in 2006, 2011 and 2016.
He chaired a number of Regional and International Conferences, including the Franco Qatari Regional Conference for justice in 2004, World Summit for Attorney Generals in 2005, Sixth World Forum for fighting Corruption and safeguarding transparency 2009, Third Conference of the State Parties to the UN Convention against Corruption, 2009, the First Arab Forum on Asset Recovery 2014, and the International Association of the Anti-Corruption Authorities 2015.
He was awarded a number of awards, including Knight - National Order of the Legion of Honor, France; Officer - National Order of the Legion of Honor, France; The Medal of the Republic of Tunisia of the Great Order, Tunisia from President Moncef Al Marzoki; Medal of Honor of the Republic of Senegal, Lion of Africa from President Makki Sal; And the medal of leader from the King of Malaysia in 20109.
Dr. Ibrahim al-Nuaimi: Member of the Board of Directors
Dr. Ibrahim al-Nuaimi received his bachelor's degree from Qatar University in 1977 and a Doctorate in Chemistry from the University of Southern California, USA in 1983. He began his academic career as an assistant professor and then associate professor until he became professor of organic chemistry at Qatar University since 1996.
He held several academic and administrative duties, including Dean of the Faculty of Science (1990-1994), President of Qatar University (1994-1999), Founder and President of the Dutch CHN University in Qatar (2000-2006), and Then Chairman of the Committee for Attracting Outstanding Foreign Schools (2006-2008). Dr. Al Nuaimi was appointed chairman of the Qatar Community College Foundation Committee in 2008. He established the college in 2010 and became its president from its inception until 2018, and was appointed by Emiri Decree No. 91 for 2017, as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
Dr. Al Nuaimi founded the Qatar Scientific Club and was its president from 1986 to 1990, and has headed the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue since its inception in 2007 to date.
Dr. Al Nuaimi has been a member of several specialized scientific journals, including a member of the editorial board of the Arab Gulf Journal of Science from 1991 to date, a member of the Advisory Committee of the Asian Journal of Chemistry from 1996, a member of the Advisory Committee of the Saudi Chemical Journal since 1999, a member of the Advisory Committee of ajman Research and Studies Magazine, Um Almuaminin Society, UNITED Arab Emirates since 2001, and Member of the editorial board of Adyan magazine published by the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue since 2010.
He has been a member and chair of several committees, and has been a member and then vice-chairman of the State Appreciation and Encouragement Awards Committee since November 2004. He was also Chairman of the Certificate Equivalency Committee since May 2014, as well as a member of the Muslim Contributions to Civilization Center (1990-2006).
Dr. Al Nuaimi received the Medal of GCC in Innovation and Excellence in Science in 1997, the Academic Palm award from the Prime Minister of France in November 1997, and the Annual Volunteer Man Award in Qatar from the Supreme Council for Youth in October 2000.
Dr. Al Nuaimi has completed more than forty scientific researches in the field of organic and metal organic chemistry published in prestigious scientific journals and presented at international conferences.
Dr. Said Amzazi: Member of the Board of Directors
Dr. Said Amzazi received his Ph.D. in Biology from Pierre and Marie Curie University in Paris. Dr. Amzazi has been Minister of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research in Morocco since 2018.
Since 2015, Dr. Amzazi has served as President of Mohamed V University -Rabat, as dean of the Faculty of Science of Mohamed V University - Akdal from 2011 to 2014, vice-dean in charge of academic and educational affairs at the same college, member of the National Committee for the Coordination of Higher Education, as well as a member of the Preparatory Committee of the National Council for Moroccan Languages and Culture. He has also chaired the Evaluation Committee for Doctoral Scholarship Authorization since 2015, the Mohammed VI Foundation's Merit Selection Committee for the Advancement of Social Work for Education and Training since 2017, and the Educational Committee and Continuing Training at the University Presidents' Symposium since 2015.
In 2016, Dr. Amzazi was the coordinator of the University Presidents' Symposium program at the (COP 22) conference and the Network of Deans of Science Faculties at public universities in Morocco. He has been Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Mohammed V University in Abu Dhabi (UAE) since 2015 and from 2012 to 2014 was a member of the High Committee for the equivalence of New Certificates with the government authority in charge of higher education. Dr. Amzazi has also carried out a number of activities in the field of education as well as in the field of scientific research in Morocco and abroad.
Professor Dr. Awatef Hiyar: Member of the Board of Trustees
Dr. Awatef Hiyar is the President of the Hassan II University in Casablanca, Morocco. Dr. Hiyar received her PhD in Signal Processing and Telecommunications from the National Institute of Applied Arts in Toulouse in 2001, and is also the first Moroccan to obtain a diploma in Electrical Engineering from Normale Supérieure Cachan in 1992.
Dr. Hiyar was the President of the Center for Research in Green Technology (GreenTIC) at Hassan II University in Casablanca, Vice President of the e-Madina Smart City, and she also served as the Scientific Advisor for Smart Expo in Casablanca. In addition to her administrative duties, Dr. Hiyar is an active member in the field of teaching, where she held the position of Professor at Hassan II University in Casablanca since 2011.
Dr. Hiyar is an academic and international expert in the field of smart cities, and she participated in the membership of several committees, for example the IEEE Smart City steering committee. Dr. Hiyar has published many research papers in prestigious international journals.
Professor Dr. Imad Salah: Member of the Board of Trustees
Dr. Imad Salah obtained his PhD in Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Ukraine in 1996. He is currently the Vice President for Planning, Development and Financial Affairs at the University of Jordan.
Dr. Salah served as General Manager of the American SPS Group in Ukraine, and Executive Director of the Admission Committee in Jordanian Universities. He also worked as the Director of the Computer Center, Director of the Admission and Registration Unit and Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at the University of Jordan. He also served as the acting president of the University of Jordan. In addition to his administrative duties, Dr. Salah has worked as an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at the University of Jordan.
He chaired the membership of several committees, including the Health Insurance Committee and the Investment Committee at the University of Jordan, in addition to his participation in the membership of several committees, including the Engineers Syndicate, the Consultative Center Council, the Scientific Research Council, and the University of Jordan Investment Fund Board.
